I can see what you were trying to do with the Rayman-like design, but I think it could benefit from having a sort of "magnetism" towards the torso in order for it to communicate better. I also think the face is lacking some sort of characteristic. It overall looks like a Rayman reskin. I highly suggest you use another software for animation. Remember, Flash 8 is considered freeware.
